| Browse the gallery and enjoy unique
glass art pieces. A variety of methods have been used
in creating these glass art pieces, such as:
Copper
inclusions where copper is fused between two
layers of float glass. Once cooled, art piece is enameled,
edges sanded, and slumped into a kiln;
Mirror
infusion where a sheet of glass is cut into
the appropriate size, then additional glass is broken
into small pieces and fused to the underside of the
solid piece of glass. Once fused and slumped in the
kiln, mirror material is infused into the art piece;
Slumped and sand blasted flower vases where a sheet of glass is cut into the appropriate size,
slumped in kiln, cooled, sandblasted, drilled, and bonded
to another glass piece to make a water tight flower
vase;
Bubble bowls and platters where
chemicals are used to create multi-colored bubble creations.
Chemical oxides and bubble powder are placed between
layers of glass, and then art piece is slumped into kiln,
cooled, and edges sanded;
Silver staining where glass is cut
appropriate size, colored with silver stain, and slumped
into kiln. |
